Lawn-Fit Calculator
Tell us about your yard. We'll match it against 15+ robot mowers and rank them by fit, with coverage time math + boundary-method recommendation.
How the Lawn-Fit Calculator works
The Lawn-Fit Calculator takes five inputs about your property — yard size in square metres, maximum slope as a percentage grade, obstacle complexity (low, medium, or high), Wi-Fi availability at the lawn, and a budget cap in USD. It then ranks 20 robot mowers in the spec database by how well each one's published capabilities match your yard. Coverage and slope are hard filters; mowers rated below your yard's needs are dropped before scoring.
The spec database aggregates manufacturer-published values for 20 robot mowers across every major brand — Husqvarna, Mammotion, Segway Navimow, Worx, Ecovacs, Gardena, STIHL, and Robomow. Each entry stores maximum coverage in square metres, maximum slope grade, navigation method (perimeter wire, RTK GPS, LiDAR, or vision), cutting width, battery runtime in minutes, IP rating, smart features (vision-avoidance, GPS theft tracking, multi-zone, weather sensing), MSRP in USD, and Wi-Fi requirement. Slope ratings come from manufacturer specification sheets and are not adjusted upward.
The output ranks the qualifying mowers by a composite fit score that weights price-per-coverage, slope headroom over your input, smart-feature density, and brand reliability signal. Cycle-time math (yard sqm divided by cutting width and runtime) is computed per mower so you can see the realistic mowing cadence before buying.
